Motor Sport Federations

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is the voice of more than 100 million motorists from 120 countries worldwide. The federation is made up of national motoring organizations, which together represent more than 100 million motorists and their families. The FIA has two divisions: (a) Mobility and the Automobile, which is responsible for all matters relating to the motorist, such as road safety, environment and consumer protection, and (b) Sport, which is the world governing body for all forms of motor sport, including the FIA Formula One World Championship. With over 55 billion viewers every year, Formula One has the largest television audience in sport.

Karting is one of only four Motor Sport disciplines that enjoy an FIA World Championship. Champions such as Senna, Prost, Patrese, Schumacher, Alonso, Raïkkönen, Button, Hamilton, Kubica and many others gained access to Motor Sport through karting.

Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt is one of the historical clubs in Egypt being established in 1924. Today ATCE has specialized Auto Tour Department to manage and accomplish the Auto Tour tasks requirements. International Driving License and pass book (trip-tick) was one of the major assignments successfully achieved. In response and in accordance with the F.I.A and international frequent proclamations to “Make Road Safe”, ATCE in cooperation with some Egyptian authorities put into effect the international conference, which has taken place in Egypt in January 2006 in honor of ATCE International Festival Ceremony corresponding to 83 years of existence and 50 years of F.I.A membership affiliation.

The Egyptian Federation for Motor Sports is a sports federation under the auspices of the National Sports Council with the goal of promoting Automobile and karting competition and awareness in Egypt under the safety regulations of the FIA. Furthermore, it endeavors to promote a national team capable of representing Egypt in International races held locally and overseas.
