In line with its publicly stated objectives to bring international motorsport to the Middle East,
Ghibli Raceway has now been officially chosen to host the prestigious World Finals of the most popular karting formula on the internationally sanctioned Commission Internationale de Karting calendar, the Rotax MAX Challenge World Finals in January, 2004.
Rotax, a Bombardier subsidiary, have developed a unique worldwide karting championship formula utilising the 125cc MAX engine as it’s base. The winners of each countries individual (RMC) championship are automatically eligible to participate in the annual Rotax Max Challenge World Finals. This year this was held in Pretoria, South Africa and included participants from over 35 countries, making the Max Challenge the most international and popular motorsport championship in the world.
Egypt will have the right to qualify at least two drivers to the upcoming World Finals as participating member country and host country.
The Rotax MAX Challenge World Finals are true spectator events that will receive high profile television coverage.
