Ghibli Raceway is happy to announce the establishment of Ghibli Porto, an entertainment karting project that will be initially be based in Porto Golf Marina on the North Coast. It will be operational this summer starting from 15th June 2010 till the 20th September, 2010. The agreements was signed on 18th May, 2010 between Mr. Hany Soufrakis (Chairman & Executive Director) Ghibli Raceway S.A.E. & Mr. Mansour Amer (Chairman) Amer Group.
Ghibli Porto is potentially a strong association of two companies that are successful in their fields; Porto is a leading developer in Egypt having already made landmarks in the North Coast with Porto Marina and Porto Golf and most recently with Porto Sokhna. Ghibli Raceway on the other hand is the leading motor sports / Entertainment Company in Egypt and the wider Middle East. Both companies intend to capitalize on the strength of each other, with Ghibli Raceway building a leisure go kart and motor sports entertainment activities utilizing the locations of Porto World first in Porto Golf and potentially in the future in other locations.
Working hours will be every day from 4pm till 3am, excluding events which have their own specific timetables.
Ghibli Porto will be hosting up to 27 events throughout the summer including the following: –
- Friday Grand Prix (8 races)
- Ladies Grand Prix (5 races)
- 2 hours Endurance race (5 races)
- Egyptian National Rotax MAX Challenge (4 rounds)
- Ghibli Speed Challenge 2010 (2 rounds)
- Ramadan Grand Prix (3 races)
- Automotive Test Drives
