Mr. Abdullah Bakhashab was fascinated by Ghibli Raceways facility in Sharm El-Sheikh. He said that it is great to have a professional facility in the Middle East.

He added that it will give a great chance for all Arabs to train on a professional basis in order to participate in upcoming World Finals, which hes looking forward to attend as a spectator.

After his success in the Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) Bakhashab set his sights on the World Championships, so in 1998, Bakhashab joined the newly established FIA Teams Cup within the World Rally Championship. He secured his first win in Corsica, came second in Finland and clichéd first place in Australia and Britain. Bakhashab finished the season in second place overall in the FIA teams cup superb result for a driver new to both the championship standards and challenging courses. It also was the first time an Arab driver achieved such success in the World Rally Championship (WRC).
As for 2003, there have been major changes. Bakhashab has replaced his Toyota for a Peugeot 206 and intends to participate in at least five rounds of this years MERC and possibly one event in the WRC.

Hes looking forward for his second MERC title, looking for support from his new car, which has a sparkling pedigree, having won the World Manufacturers title in 2002, 2001 and 2002 and the World Drivers title in 2000 and 2002.
Ghibli Raceway looks forward to welcoming Abdullah Bakhashab in January for the World Finals. Dont miss him.
